 I am married with two wonderful grown up boys. After I graduated with Honours in Joint Physics and Chemistry at Hull University, UK I taught university students for two years at RGIT in Aberdeen in the Chemistry Laboratories. After having my first child we moved as a family to several different countries throughout the world with my husband’s job. When I moved back to the UK in 1986 I began work as a Playgroup leader, then progressed to a Playgroup leader trainer and eventually to a Field worker for the all the playgroups in the Grampian region of Scotland. We moved to Indonesia in June 1991 and I began work at JMS in the November, concurrently studying for the International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy for children birth to 6 years of age. I gained my International diploma for children 6 -12 years of age in 1999. I am currently the Principal of the school and continue to work in the Primary classroom. I also have a trainer’s certificate and am a tutor in the Montessori Centre International Part Time Centre in Jakarta.
